The Mad Cow is more than a typical high-performance board. It's fast, responsive and built with features beyond the ordinary. Axel's idea behind the Mad Cow is to make high-performance surfing easier.

The volume-to-performance ratio is well-balanced, so surfers get the benefit of extra foam when paddling without losing the ability to go vertical, push hard through turns, and stay fast in critical sections. A lower-tail rocker keeps more of the board in contact with water for consistent acceleration and to maintain speed in flatter sections. The thinner tail of the board provides grip when setting the line and gives a dynamic feel in turns.

A full concave bottom provides lift and speed, keeping the board engaged even in weaker surf. As the concave runs through the fins, it transitions into a V-tail, for easy rail-to-rail transitions and smooth directional changes. The funky single channel at the tail gives surfers extra control and maneuverability in radical turns. Want huge sprays? That's also the feature that will give that.
